January at a glance!

January..how fun!! We had 21 days of prayer at church and I fasted Myspace and Facebook! It was great, I really didn't even miss it like I thought I would. It gave me more time to spend in God's Word, and more time to do more productive things in general.. like spend time with the light of our lives--Miss Bossy, I mean Miss Brooklyn!=)

Brooklyn has a best friend! I am glad to introduce to you, Miss Makayla Shae Williams, my best friend of 20 years had a baby 6 months after Brooklyn was born, and they are bff, just like their Mama's are! They love to watch "The Bachelor" this season, while unfortunately dragging their Mama's, and Aunt(s) Sam, Jenni, Jill, Misty, and Jessy along for the ride! haha, or vice versa!!!

And we can't forget about our -oh so fun cousins-!! Jackson and Bella!! Jackson is growing so much and Bella is brand new and perfect! Brooklyn loves playing with Jackson and kissing and patting Bella Bug!!

The Fam had a blast this month.. heres a preview of the rock band happening this January! Please welcome, The Childers~
and you can't forget about Wii Sports with the newly engaged Smith-Ross'.

Brooklyn eats "Big girl" food now... and she LOVES IT!!! Pancakes are a new fav, and shes about tired of mashed potatoes!!!

Mom's Corner: SO staying at home is a BLAST! More work than I ever thought it would be! I am filling my time with things that I am passionate about and my life feels more purposeful than ever!!!! There's January, and more to come!!! Hope everyone has a blessed year!!!

Fall, Winter...

HI..
yet again, it has been a while!!
So, alot has changed since my last blog. The largest change to our family, is that I will be staying at home starting this monday! I am very excited about it. I am a little scared to tell you the truth, but I know this is what God wants for my life... and I know my life won't be as it should unless I obey. So.. yes, Lord, yes.
Brooklyn had her first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.. and they were a blast! It is so much fun watching her grow up... but more sad than fun, atleast for me..lol. I am planning Brooklyn's 1st Birthday party, but mostly crying about it.. haha. =) so anyhow.. God has been working with us so much, and I never knew I could get this close to Him. I am so excited for what he has in store for us! He is awesome!

2nd POST

SOO, Its been a while..haha. Kinda forgot about my BLOG! So anyways, Brooklyn would be 6 months now, soon to be 7 months. She is so much fun and we are entertained literally by the minute. She was so much a Daddy's girl after she was born, now she gets so excited when she sees her Mama...but we still love Daddy =) . She can say Dada now, no luck w/ Mama though! She is staying w/ my Aunt Janet while I am at work now as a dental assistant. I am working as a dental assistant for now, and in a couple of years I will be eligible to take classes to become a dental hygienist. Although, I would love to stay home with Brooklyn EVERY DAY!!! We have become even more involved in our church and are growing so much in Christ. It just makes our lives and every day situations and problems seem like nothing.. When you have a higher goal and purpose, the big things in our lives just seem so very small. Getting your priorities in order, definitely starting w/ God and His purpose for your life, will turn your world upside down. Its try what they say, your will never be fulfilled until you figure out what God put you here to do, and actually DO it!!!! Well, thats today people, see ya next time!!!!

Our First Blog!

SO, this is our first blog! Well, as all of you know, we have our sweet little miss Brooklyn now. We are our own little family and it seems more complete now that we have her! She has been the joy of our lives since we found out we were having her 10 months ago! --and even more of a blessing now that she's actually here. Even though the seemingly endless nights are hard, it is more than worth it. Having her is and always will be the most rewarding accomplishment that we have ever made! We have had so many loving family members and friends visiting us and helping out with dinner numerous times in the past month and we are extremely blessed to have had them! We are very thankful to everything our loved ones have done for us since Brooklyn has been here. Miss Brooklyn is 3 weeks and 1 day old today...we went to the doctor yesterday and she is 9 pounds and 8 ounces, exactly 2 pounds more than when she was born. She LOVES to eat and sleeps only when I am awake..haha. She is absolutely beautiful(as I am sure all parents think their children are), and her grandparents just can't seem to get enough of her. Tim is an excellent Daddy, even better than I had expected (and I had very high expectations). I love seeing them together and am so thrilled at how much closer together it has brought us. I am looking forward to updating people on our lives as a new family, especially giving updates on Brooklyn!!!
